Take a look at my body
 Look at my hands
There's so much here that I don't understand
 Your face-saving promises
 Whispered like prayers
 I don't need them
'cause I've been treated so wrong,
 I've been treated so long
 As if I'm becoming untouchable
Well, contempt loves the silence, it thrives in the dark
With fine winding tendrils that strangle the heart
They say that promises sweeten the blow
but I don't need them, no I don't need them
 I've been treated so wrong,
 I've been treated so long
 As if I'm becoming untouchable
 I'm a slow-dying flower
 In the frost-killing hour
 Sweet turning sour and untouchable
I need the darkness, the sweetness, the sadness, the weakness
 Oh I need this
I need a lullaby, a kiss goodnight, angel, sweet love of my life
 Oh I need this
 I'm a slow-dying flower
 Frost-killing hour
The sweet turning sour and untouchable
Do you remember the way that you touched me before
All the trembling sweetness I loved and adored
 Your face-saving promises
 Whispered liked prayers
 I don't need them
I need the darkness, the sweetness, the sadness, the weakness
 Oh, I need this
I need a lullaby, a kiss goodnight, angel, sweet love of my life
 Oh, I need this
 Well is it dark enough
 Can you see me
 Do you want me
 Can you reach me
 Oh, I'm leaving
Better shut your mouth, and hold your breath
You kiss me now, you catch your death
 Oh, I mean this
 Oh, I mean this

Emily gasped as she walked from room to room in the beach house, each room more beautiful than the one before it. Silently her husband followed her, watching her reactions to it all and finally she came to the door that led out to the porch. The porch was situated to where one had a spectacular view of the ocean and Emily turned to him.

"Arvin, this is beautiful! What did you do? Did you rent this place for me to recover in?" But he didn't answer her but instead led her gently towards the porch's chairs. "You've been quiet since we left the hospital," Emily said as she sat down with him. "Arvin, you're scaring me." When he was silent for several more seconds, Emily was really scared. He was about to tell her something terrible.

She just knew it.

"SD-6 is not a part of the CIA," he said finally.

"W-what?" Emily breathed, more startled than before.

If SD-6 wasn't a part of the CIA, then what was he about to tell her?

"SD-6 has nothing to do with the United States government. In fact for that matter, it has nothing to do with any government in the world," he paused, moving to the chair right beside her. "Emily, the people I work with and for are classified by the United States government to be terrorists."

A horrified look overtook Emily's happy expression from moments before. "You're a terrorist?"

Tears soften his eyes as he answered her. "I'm not the person I was when you married me."

"How? Arvin, how could you become a terrorist?" she cried.

He stood up. "Because, you married a monster, Emily. Nevertheless, I still love you."

With that Arvin Sloane went back inside of the beach house, leaving Emily alone in stunned silence...
